Great lesson! Good to see someone teaching Rebel Yell correctly.
Nice commercial for almost 3 minutes before you get to anything substantive. I gave up listening.
A minute in and still only gotten to the commercial.
FAWK!
Critical Video! It assisted me a lot!
You really make students work for it. I needed a teacher like you about 20 years ago. I like the riff selection. Very cool songs. Thanks RJ.
Just found you like your style like your Jake Lee Guitar and thanks for having the tabs appreciate it
Cool video man, I just subscribed. I love that Jake E Lee Charvel too it’s awesome! The song that’s always helped me with warming up and practicing is “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” by Radiohead off their second album “The Bends.” It’s really great for string skipping with a pick, the main riff that starts from beginning of song and runs throughout the entire song. I also use “One” by Metallica like you mentioned. Also the intro riff to “Holy Wars…The Punishment Due” by Megadeth is a good one for endurance and palm muting.
Stressed about guitar? Learn some cool moves and feel tranquillo with Ronquillo! Anyhow, the most trouble I had with the Rebel Yell intro was grabbing my pick to transition to the next part on the low string. I always fumble between the two.
Awesome video. Subbed
That tone is so IRON MAIDEN!
3 mins. Then he starts playing the riffs
Awesome video! It assisted me a lot!
classical guitar riffs next? maybe worldly guitar stuff?
How do you not know how to say your own last name? Ron-key-O
"ROCK BOTTOM" intro by U.F.O..
Anything from Michael Schenker actually. He's almost impossible to duplicate both note-wise and playing emotion. And, he only uses 3 left hand fingers when he creates his masterful solos.
"SEASONS OF WITHER" by Aerosmith.
"DON'T FEAR THE REAPER" intro by Blue Oyster Cult.
Alternate picking and string jumping. Watch numerous instructional videos to find the correct picking method to create good picking habits and when you find it and master it you'll reach a new skill level that will improve your playing in every aspect.
I recommend Jim Dunlop (R.I.P.) 2.5 or 2.0 black jazz picks for 2 reasons,
#1, your articulation will improve greatly by practicing just using the very tip of the pick.
#2, no one will steal your picks because hardly anyone uses picks that thick. LOL. Drill 6-8 holes through them for improved grip.
I was always under the impression that Slash used an echo on that Welcome intro. But yours sounds right on.
Illustrious Video! It assisted me a lot!
