I’ve started with your beginner lessons and then found these strumming lessons. My question is should I get some of these strumming patterns down to practice the Eminor and other beginner cords?

    I discovered your videos in 2014 and was trying to brush up on skills…I took an airplane ride a few months later and was afraid to fly so I made conversation with two guys on my flight. One was Abdul, and eventually we got around to talking about guitar. I mentioned you and lo and behold he said he knew you! AND he later sent me so many of your dvds. Super nice and…what were the chances? I sadly had just gone through a major life overhaul and quickly lost the packaging in which he sent the dvds so I didn't get to send thanks.     The pic is not falling out of my hands when I do this, however my thumb tends to slip off position. Is this happening to anybody else? Should I grip the pic harder? I don't have to much tension on the pic, but I certainly don't have too little either….
