Easy Blues Guitar Lick 1 (Chuck Berry Style) (VIDEO)
Visit https://www.activemelody.com/lesson/simple-blues-guitar-lick-1-chuck-berry-style/ for the tablature and MP3 jam track for this video. Every few days I’m adding a new guitar lesson video so be sure to check back! This video demonstrates a fairly simple and somewhat standard blues guitar lick that can be played on either an acoustic or electric guitar.
This is really intended for the beginner – intermediate player, although if you’re an advanced player you might find it valuable as well. This video takes advantage of playing a double string solo (very similar to the style that Chuck Berry would use)
As always, if you have questions or comments ask away either here or at http://www.activemelody.com
Awsome.
Where can I get the backing track for this?
More licky less talky
Excellent lesson
Thanks! This is very usefull/helpfull for an βoldβ rhythm-guitar-player, who wants to try a little solo-playing.
This helped me a lot as a beginner
Woooow man i really love blues thank you very much πππππππππ
Song name
Four measures at the front? Really?
for a beginner like me you MUST show and tell about EVERY move you make at BOTH ends…. thanks for doing just that… don't hesitate to make an EXTRA LONG or multi episode vid for the "Stairway to Heavens".
Thanks for the lesson. Love the tele. I needed a mental boost today. Just started playing a few months ago and Barre chords are kicking my butt so it was nice to attempt to learn something and be able to actuall play it somewhat decently in short order.
Hey everyone Marty here
This is easy learned it in half an hour.
Thankyou so much I've been wanting to learn some easy blues riffs for long time now and this video helped out alot.

Good video. When I started college, 50 years ago this week, I remember my freshman advisor's talk like it was yesterday. Not all of it, but parts. One of the things that stuck is that he told us that even though we had gone through 12 years of school, that we would be lucky if we had more than a couple good teachers. He gave the reasons and one was that too many teachers were more interested in showing us how much they knew as compared to implanting their vast knowledge into our empty heads. He told us that a lot of the things we already had been exposed to would be taught over and over until we learned how to think for ourselves. A lot of that was crap but some made sense. I took music all through school and have just picked up the guitar. After leaving music alone for 50 years, there is a lot of stuff in my mind that gets in the way. Then again there is a lot that I was never taught. When I watch most of the videos, I see the majority of instructors wanting to teach a whole lot more than I want to learn right off. I understand that younger people are naturally in a hurry and want to be rock stars in 5 years but as for me, a lot of the things just bring up questions that most probably don't think of. I've noticed that most have their amp set just right to get that magic sound. Some might be using a pedal. Who knows. On a basic video, I don't think it is as important for an instructor's guitar to sound great than it is to show the actual technique. I know enough about music to know about roots, chords, 1, 4, 5 chord projections, major and minor scales but almost all of that is useless to a beginner.. I guess that my knowledge gets in the way more than it helps. .I do want to know what note I am playing and what key I am in. My mind makes me figure it anyway. Basically, I would like to see more of the basic. By the way, it is hard to look at a guy's fingers on the fret board and tell what he is doing because he is always covering more than one string.. Good video, though. You kept it way simpler than most.
Thumbs up!
The pinky part you played at the start is different and a little more complex than the one you taught.
these are the best licks ive learned all week
Very well done, learned quick n easy
