(Intro – 1:09)
C Am C Am
(Verse 1 – 2:32)
C Am
I heard there was a secret chord
C Am
That David played and it pleased the lord
F G C G
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
C F G
Well it goes like this the fourth, the fifth
Am F
The minor fall and the major lift
G E7 Am
The baffled king composing hallelujah
(Chorus 1 – 5:22)
F Am F C G C
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu-u-u-u-jah ….
(Verse 2 – 2:32)
C Am
Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
C Am
You saw her bathing on the roof
F G C G
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
C F G
She tied you to her kitchen chair
Am F
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
G E7 Am
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah
(Chorus 2 – 5:22)
(Verse 3 – 2:32)
C Am
Baby I’ve been here before
C Am
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor
F G C G
I used to live alone before I knew you
C F G
I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
Am F
But love is not a victory march
G E7 Am
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
(Chorus 3 – 5:22)
(Verse 4 – 2:32)
C Am
Well there was a time when you let me know
C Am
What’s really going on below
F G C G
But now you never show that to me do you
C F G
But remember when I moved in you
Am F
And the holy dove was moving too
G E7 Am
And every breath we drew was hallelujah
(Chorus 4 – 5:22)
(Verse 5 – 2:32)
C Am
Well, maybe there’s a god above
C Am
But all I’ve ever learned from love
F G C G
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
C F G
It’s not a cry that you hear at night
Am F
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
G E7 Am
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
(Chorus 5 – 5:22)

The doo is the popular one!!!
I got a huawind acustic 30 inch nylon string guitar but it seems off when I do chords and doesn't sound super acustic I have this other one idk the company but it sounds a tad bit better but I can't play that one ( cause I gotta share it ) but with the huawind is it the guitar or just me idk how to chords yet but when I do it sounds really off
Why is your chord is G D Em C D🤔🙄😅?
Why did you capitilize David and not Lord? God's titles are always capitalized.
Where can I find an arpeggio breakdown of this song?

You halfed ass speed through the finger picking part and didn’t really go into detail about it so I’m sorta mad then referred me to read the notes when I can’t 😂
good
Whats the best way to arpeggiate the g chord in the verse of this song? I tried a few different ways but none sounds right.
This song is really nice to play on guitar but the lyrics are pure satanic. Singing hallelujah to pleasant melodies while singing along about some personal immoralities – this is MK Ultra hypnosis, bro.
Hi ! For the verse you didn’t show the picking fingers 😥
So nice
I Am going to learn and try to play for my daughter wedding
Is that good?
Thanks so much for uploading 🙏
Maybe I need glasses
Dude I can’t even see how your finger picking it 😂 don’t wanna be rude your helpful with knowing the chords but your confusing af strumming it and finger picking it
Hi, I really like the tutorial.
Do you have a video on playing the full song in chords but with the plucking of the strings version? I'm kind of struggling to know what strings and how many times to go down and up.
Best guitar teacher here 👌🏻
easiest tutorial !! thank you sooo much 🙂
Nicely done!👍 Keep it up!!!👏
I guess the lyrics misled me into thinking that the chord progression was really hard. I watched the video with the arpeggio suggestions, went to the piano, did them, made up a bass line, and voilá! Instant piano accompaniment. In the process, I figured out what "the fourth, the fifthe, the minor fall and the major lift" meant. Thanks!
