Why have y'all avoided the orange woods
I'm hearing good things about Orangewood guitars.
Hmmm… Orangewood didn't make your list?
I've played for more than 30 years and have found their entire line to be exceptional for the price… also each is less than $400.
Tony I can't believe you didn't have the Epiphone Masterbilt DR-400MCE in there. It sounds amazing and is all solid wood for $400.00. In my opinion it sounded better than any of these.
I heard stonebridge also badged furch are fantastic sound quality some of the best at any price and eastman too are great for the price. I like sigma and alvarez too and maybe epiphone masterbilt but I do like the gibson j15 but have seen godin, art lutherie, seagull for around £400. Is there a guitar soundwise like furch or beautiful bell sound thats a bargain. The epi ft155 bard too of early 1970s sounds beautiful but I do have doubt about the big makers value for money especially gibson, taylor and martin and dnt know how fender accoustics are now. I played a 1970s fender and it was hard to play on the fingers and disappointing.
Do I really have to get a guitar that's 500$ and up for it not to be a fucking beginner guitar…
The Seagull has an ugly headstock.
Before starting the video, I thought surely a Seagull would be there!
I am a beginner and have the epiphone dr 100.Looking to get another guitar to step up.Any suggestions.
I LOVE my Seagull Original s6 – so far everyone who has seen my Seagull, held it , played it raves about the tone and they can't believe I only paid $400 for it.

What do you think about Fender CD-60S?
Hey Tony I was gonna sign up for your free workshop until I seen the date and time. 12 o clock on a workday is not gonna a guy like me w a blue collar job. How bout weekend workshop for people who have real jobs. Thanks bro.
there are $500 guitars that sound as good as 1k-2k guitars. take 600 bucks and visit 5-6 guitar stores and play every guitar in each store. you will eventually be surprised one of em will punch above their weight class. you’ll be happy when you get a 400-600 guitar that sounds as good as a 2k taylor or 4k martin. biggest tip take someone with you who can play.
500 dollars is still big for me
What do you think about the Alvarez AG70 CEAR?
I fell in love with the GS Mini Mahogany about 3 years ago in-store (tried various other full and travel size guitars – including a Little Martin, all left me feeling uninspired and…meh). Tried the Spruce as well, but far preferred the Mahogany. Bought one on eBay about 18 months ago, and this summer, sitting outdoors in a local park, wrote my first song with her. She's an absolute gem, I take her everywhere with me in warm weather, local countryside, harbour, beach, parks…and she's powerful and got great sound for playing at folk clubs, open-mics etc too.
I play mostly fingerstyle, or strumming without a pick, and usually got short nails (I'm a reflexologist) so having a guitar that produces decent volume even with fleshy picking is important for me – my girl does beautifully. I highly recommend them, well deserved #1 spot.
